Welcome. My name is Al Price, author of Gravel and Grit / Ethereal. I’m so happy to have you as a visitor to my blog about my books. This project is very special to me, and I hope to share some of that excitement with you here.

Greetings Sir: I can point in the direction of some individuals that are still living that can assist. 1. BROTHER ROBER NELSON JONES. Lives in Henderson, TN. He is ALSO my Uncle. Baptized at Oak Grove COC in the 50’s studied at Freed–Hardeman University in the 70’s. Ministers at Madison Street COC for 50 years. 2. BROTHER DAVID MEEK Studied and taught at Freed–Hardeman University in He is now preacher at McClellan Avenue church of Christ. He has been a COC minister across TN for well over 50 years. 3.Sister Parthenia Croom’s Great Grandsons are Elders at North Henderson COC; They are twins. They can give you all the history you desire. (731) 989-9622731-989-3607, 731-983-0567. 4. Brother Sammy Barham is an Elder at Oak Grove COC; his Mother in 2015 was the oldest living member she was 100 when she passed away (Cousin Memphis Barham). You can reach him at the Church (731) 989-7513; I don’t have his home number; but he maybe listed in the directory. 3. The Howards. Ms. Helen Howard is 100 years old; and the oldest living member NOW at Oak Groove Church of Christ. Her grand-son in law is now the minister there. Any of them can give you any information you are seeking also. As they been apart of that congregation for well over 100 years now. And when Oak Groove celebrated their 100th Year Anniversary; their names were on the roll.
